Trang is a province by the sea so most tourist attractions are on or around the many islands of different sizes spread along the Andaman coast.
The first thing we did when arriving Trang was to search for a dive tour package. We contacted Trang Wonderland Travel which is located next to Barefeet Heaven Hill Naturist Resort and they offered our own long-tail boat to go diving. A private boat for the whole day at 3500 baht per boat, seating up to ten people, starting at Had Yao Pier, which would be very convenient since we were staying at Barefeet Heaven Hill. And we could go to places where we could dive or snorkel nude.
But since this trip we would only be the two of us, we wanted a tour package with a cheaper price, so we traveled to Tha Ruea Pak Meng – the harbour at the river mouth of the Meng river – about 21 km from Barefeet Heaven Hill. There are many tour companies to choose from there and every agency will happily organize a program for you. We picked a program that cost us 1500 baht all together – 750 baht per person – for one day trip. See the poster with the offers below.
After our full breakfast at Barefeet we went to the harbour to wait for the boat to leave at 9.30 am.
The first stop of the day had to be the famous Morakot Cave (Emerald Cave) which is a major tourist attraction in Koh Mook. To get into the cave, first we all had to come down from the boat into the water, then we lined up in the water by holding the life jacket of the person in front of us and then the guide would swim in front, dragging the rows of people to enter the cave until we reached the little beach with emerald green water inside.
When we came back out from the cave and up on the boat again it was time for lunch. We were served a buffet style lunch on the boat and then we headed to the second point, which is Ko Kradan. This island is famous for its white and sandy beaches and clear blue water. It is one of the most beautiful places in the sea off Trang. The island is also a location often used for under water weddings.
After that, the boat took us again to a new location full of coral reefs. There were so many beautiful fish swimming around with us. But eventually we go tired and returned to the boat. He we found the staff had prepared cold drinks along with fruit and were just waiting for us tourists to emerge from the deep.
The last point on the trip was an area near Koh Chuek, where we went snorkeling watching more colorful corals and an abundance of different species of fish. The guide took a photo of us and was offering underwater photography for free on the whole trip.
We finished this great trip with being served a hot drink and a snack while going back to the harbour. They also served a delicious cake which is famous for this area of Trang.
Then we went back to have dinner at Barefeet Heaven Hill Naturist Resort.
