Although driving all the way from Kuala Lumpur is an option, it is also a very tiring nine hours long drive. So let us look at the alternatives.
Flying all the way?
- One convienient connection is the Air Asia flight AK 890 with departure 6:50 am from KUL arriving DMK Bangkok 8:05 am and onwards with Nok Air flight DD 7406 departure 10:05 am arriving Trang 11:25 am. You will be having naked lunch at Bare Heaven that day!
- Another good one is with Air Asia all the way, leaving 1:15 pm from Kuala Lupur. Then you will be having nude dinner at 8 pm that same evening!
Search your favorite provider for a ticket from Kuala Lumpur to Don Mueang Airport, Bangkok and onwards to Trang. Book some time in advance and you can buy both these tickets at down to 2800 THB for a one-way trip.
For the more adventurous, try this one:
Fly from Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah (SZB) to Langkawi and then take the ferry from Telaga Harbor Marina to Had Yao Pier, Trang. The ferry will take you to Koh Lipe where you will havew to spend the night because there are no same-day ferries from Langkawi to Had Yao Pier. The next day, the ferry will take you straight to Had Yao Pier which is right next to Bare Heaven. The price for the air ticket is less than 1000 THB. The ferry, however, will cost you 2300 THB plus the overnight accommodation on Koh Lipe. I did mention it was for the adventurous … but you save the taxi from Trang to Bare Heaven.
Bus or train is of course a very economical way of traveling. The only cost is the extra time it will take you. Bus from KL to Trang will take you 12 hours and train will take you 14 hours. But in the train you can get a bed overnight. I will try that myself one day.
